Editor-in-Chief: Max Curtin ’21
Max Curtin ‘21 is a global commerce and economics double major and a Spanish minor from Manchester, New Hampshire. He is one of the two Editors-in-Chief of The Denisonian and is also involved on campus as the treasure of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and as an Admissions Tour Guide. Some of his favorite things to do include spending time with other people, eating and watching his beloved Boston sports teams.
Editor-in-Chief: Joey Semel ’21
Joey Semel is a communication major and psychology minor from McLean, Virginia. Born in New York, New York, he lives and breathes the Yankees, Giants, and Knicks. Frankly, he lives and breathes all sports from baseball to basketball, to cycling. His guilty pleasure is watching the TV show Survivor with his mother. On campus, Joey also serves as an announcer for the Denison Sports Network, as well as alumni relations chair for the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at Denison.
Managing Editor: Liz Anastasiadis ’21
Liz Anastasiadis ‘21 is an English creative writing major and narrative journalism concentrator from Warren, Ohio. Her hobbies include drinking coffee, traveling, thrifting, writing articles and short stories and constantly taking photos of said coffee & travels. Liz is the current Managing Editor of The Denisonian. Other than The Denisonian, Liz’s commitments include being the Social Media and Marketing head for Denison’s chapter of HerCampus and freelancing on the side. She also has an Instagram account dedicated to being artsy named @writertraveler.
Arts & Life Editor: Devin Meenan ’21
Devin Meenan is a sophomore from Ridgefield Connecticut who is double majoring in Cinema and English with a creative writing concentration. He is currently one of the two co-editors of The Denisonian’s Arts-And-Life section. When he’s not editing or balancing his schoolwork, he likes to read any book or watch any movie he can get his hands on.
Arts & Life (assistant editor): JaeEun Lee ’22
JaeEun Lee ‘22 is Biochemistry major with pre-engineering track. She serves as an assistant editor in Arts & Life section for The Denisonian. She is an international student from South Korea and always likes to learn new things! Now, she is trying to learn jazz piano and find the best-iced mocha in the world.
Features Editor: Mary Clare Edwards ’21
Mary Clare Edwards ‘21 is majoring in English with a narrative journalism concentration and a minor in communication. She is one of the two Features Editors for The Denisonian, and will serve a prose editor in the 2019 issue of Exile. Mary Clare is from Ann Arbor, Michigan and loves camp life, anything ballet related and practicing violin every once in a while.
Features Editor: Zoe Pearce ’20
Zoe Pearce ‘20 is and English Literature Major and a Communication Minor from Buffalo, NY. She is an Editor for the Features section of The Denisonian alongside Mary Clare Edwards. Outside of the newspaper, she is a member of the club squash team, Delta Gamma Sorority, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Vice President of the English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta. Zoe enjoys reading, traveling, trying out new restaurants and watching The Office while eating pizza with her friends.
News Editor: Jax Preyer ’20
Jax Preyer ‘20 is a creative writing major concentrating in narrative journalism. She is proudly from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She serves as a news editor alongside Alina Panek and assisted by Zach Correia. She is a member of Tri Delta where she serves as Member Development Chair and is a junior editor next door to the Denisonian, at The Bullsheet. In her spare time, you can find her watching 30 Rock on her laptop, laughing inappropriately loudly at her friends in Slayter, or tweeting about celebrities.
News Editor: Alina Panek ’20
Alina Panek ’20 is a communication major concentrating in narrative journalism from Chicago, Illinois. She serves as a News editor alongside Jax Preyer and assisted by Zach Correia, otherwise known as Bullsheet superstars. Outside of The Denisonian office, she serves as Vice President of La Fuerza Latina and Denison Venture Philanthropy and can often be found scribbling in her journal her next story idea or hammocking with her friends when the sun is out.

Shanti Basu ’20 is a communication and studio art double major with a concentration in narrative journalism from Salem, Oregon. She’s a photographer, designer and creator in search of work and play. Her passions are on advocacy, art and journalism. She loves to travel and wants to live in NYC one day to do art and graphic design, and is in love with dim sum.
