Some Denisonians are looking for love – or  just something different.To assist students in this search, the Women’s Resource Center hosted its second Speed Dating event, which was held in the Bandersnatch last Friday, Nov. 7.While some students showed up ready to meet their match or make new friends, others let the effects of alcohol boost their confidence.

Students who use illegal downloading software on their personal computers, beware.The recording and film industries are strengthening their anti-piracy efforts against college students. This semester, Information Technology Services reported 117 allegations of copyright infringement.

Looking back on the presidential election

History was made on Tuesday, Nov. 4.For the first time in the 232- year history of the country, an African-American man will take the highest office in the land.  Present-elect Barack Obama defeated Sen. John McCain from Arizona and was elected the 44th president of the United States.

Addressing mental health issues

This year Denison is taking a stand against the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Last Tuesday (Nov. 11), Ross Szabo, director of Youth Outreach for the National Mental Health Campaign, spoke to Denison students about removing the stigma around mental health issues on college campuses.
