The Denisonian

About Us

The Denisonian has been Denison University’s student publication since 1857,  the oldest student organization on campus. The Denisonian is a non-profit organization, operating on Denison Campus Governance Association (DCGA) student activity fund.

Who are we?

The Denisonian is entirely student-run. The editorial staff consists of students of many class years, disciplines, and background. We are advised by Alan Miller, The Columbus Dispatch‘s Managing Editor for News.

Our elections are held at the end of every semester for section editors and at the end of December for managing staff (Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor). Positions are filled by Denison students through an application process, regardless of prior experience with the organization. For any information about staff and application, please refer to our Managing Editor.

BIO:
Hey y’all, I’m a junior from Norfolk, Virginia, and I’m actually in love with the news section and the Denisonian as a whole. And if y’all are actually reading these bios, then I’m an even bigger fan of you guys! Outside of the Denisonian, I really enjoy binge-watching Netflix and quietly indulging in politically based books. I’m also obsessed with beaches and people who can make me laugh.

BIO:
I’m a freshman from Warren, Ohio—don’t ask where that is—and I am a cinema major. In addition to working at the Denisonian, I participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters and Relay for Life, as well as various theatre events. My hobbies include getting lost on the bio reserve, biking, and telling stories. I love taking pictures; they capture little moments so that we can keep them forever.
