On Sept. 20, at 11:03 p.m., three Denison students were charged with underage drinking and being under the influence in public.

On Sept. 21, at 12:11 a.m., a Denison student was charged with DUI, offenses involving underage persons, drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

On Sept. 22, at 1:07 a.m., a senior from Malverne, N.Y. was charged with having an open container in a public place. He was holding a Red Hook Long Hammer beer near Linden Pl.  His court date was set for Oct. 3 in Granville Mayor’s Court.

On Sept. 22, at 3:39 a.m., police were called to Shepardson Hall and met a non-student who had been drinking. He was asked to leave campus and was charged for underage drinking.

On Sept. 29, at 1:44 a.m., a junior was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, behind Swasey.

On Oct. 13, 1:49 a.m., a male student was charged with making false alarms and offenses involving underage persons. A student pulled a fire alarm inside Curtis East and took off running. Police chased him and stopped him.

On Oct. 18, a student was charged with criminal mischief. An unknown person removed three 4 x 4 wooden stakes to prevent vehicles from driving on sidewalks. Three stakes were missing and two stakes were later located in the yards of Granville residences.

On Oct. 22 at 9:25 p.m., sophomores from Skillman and Haddonfield, N.J. were charged with possession of drugs and drug abuse instruments. Police came to Crawford Hall and saw that the students possessed marijuana and learned one “had a few hits of LSD.”

On Oct. 24, a senior from Ann Arbor, Mich. was charged with possession of MDMA, “Molly.” Police were dispatched to Shaff House because an odor of marijuana was coming from the room. When they searched the room, they found a small Zip-loc baggie with a tan crystal like substance. The student said she bought the drugs at a concert in Columbus for $40.

On Oct. 25, a senior from Katonah, N.Y. checked out a projector screen from the library and set it up in the lobby area of King Hall. When the student went to return it to the library on it was gone. The screen is valued at $500. At this time there are no suspects to the theft.

On Oct. 25, a junior from Chicago, Ill. was charged with possession of marijuana. She was was stopped for speeding, but the police noticed a strong odor of marijuana.
